How we protect children from seeing smut

There are no requirements whatsoever to provide a warning or to label a site asking someone to agree that they are over 18. However, we do label our site in order to prevent its misuse by minors. Our site is coded with ICRA and RTA labels. If a parent sets a browsers settings rather it be Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, or Chrome... the site will be blocked. If a parent uses any kind of filtering software to block adult content such as Cybersitter, NetNanny, Norton, etc. then the site will be blocked. Putting up an agree page will do nothing to deter youth from visiting the site. It's all too easy to click an agree button. The best prevention is to block it entirely which requires the vigilence of parents to set their computers up to automatically block adult sites. We do our part by coding our site to work with all of these services. We are also an active member of the ASACP association which advocates and polices the net for child pornography.
